On the slopes beauty

Hello boys&girls well I have some great news for me , as you are reading this I will be in the mountains skiing ( as I am writing it I am actually in the middle of exam season long live procrastination ). As some of you might as well be about to enjoy your own winter vacation I tought I would share the beauty products I am bringing with me on this trip. Hope you enjoy and find it useful.

Moisture moisture and more moisture (my apologies to all those who hate the word moist) that is the trend you will discover in this post , but it is winter and especially if like me you are going to be doing some outdoor sports you`re skin needs it.
The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter is a favorite of mine all year round. It is a great product that gives more moisture ( to my very dry skin) than any other similar product in the winter , while it still absorbs really quickly into the skin so even in the summer it isn`t to heavy and sticky feeling.
L`occitane hand cream  I have talked about this hand cream so many times but it really is one of my holly grail products (I mean I have the 150ml/5.2oz size, if that doesn`t tell you how much I love it I don`t know what will) . If you don`t strugle with dry skin you might not want to spend your money on it but it is an amazing product that I swear by.
Probably the most important products at least for me are lip balms , while my skin is dry my lips are extremely dry and to combat that I chose these two products.  The Nivea Lip Butter (vanilla & macadamia) and the L`occitane lip balm ,both really good balms the L`occitane is a bit more moisturising plus when I am on the slope I really don`t want to deal with putting my finger in a pot, so this one will live in my jacket. As for the Nivea I really enjoy the scent and it feels light and comfortable on my lips.
For my skin I will be using these two The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + (morning)  and the La Roche-Posy Effaclar H (evening ) I will also be bringing an oil as well but I recently ran out of my old one so I will need to buy one ( if you have any recommendations for oils for dry skin leave them bellow  I would love to hear them).

Apart from shampoo and conditioner these are the only other products I will be bringing for my hair. First The Schwarzkopf Daily Oil Elixir I use this as my leave in conditioner and when it comes to cold dry air you`re hair suffers as well so I really recommend bringing some extra moisture for it as well. Secondly the Bumble & Bumble Pret-a -Powder this product might be advertised as a dry shampoo as well but honestly it does nothing for me in that regard, what I will be using it for is to give my hair some volume after wearing a hat for hours on end .

I actually am not bringing any foundation on this trip , what I am brConcealer . The first one I normally use to even out my skin , by applying on areas where I have discoloration or redness and then blending it out with my Sephora Foundation Brush . The Makeup For Ever Full Cover is what I use to cover up spots or scaring from spots that won`t cover up with the Maybelline one, this concelar is also waterproof and extremely long-lasting so it works great even with the extreme weather.inging are these two concealers  : the Maybelline Afinitone concealer (02 -Natural) and the Makeup For Ever Full Cover

The only lip products I will be bringing apart from the lipbalms I already mentioned are these two shades of the Rimmel Apocalips lip creams ( ) both very natural shades that will bring some light to my face , easy to apply even without a mirror and long-lasting.    For my brows I am only bringing this tinted brow gel by Benefit , it will make it a loot faster for me to get ready since I don`t really need to fill in my brows  and it will keep them tamed all day
For my eyes I am keeping it simple again with the Maybelline Color Tattoo ( in Bad To The Bronze)  it is easy to apply doesn`t require a brush , and it lasts all day.
The other product for my eyes is the Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express mascara ( I am actually bringing the waterproof version , I just grabbed the normal version by mistake for the photo)

  1. I have five of the things you listed here, so I’m glad they hold up in such cold weather! 🙂 I find Nivea Lip Butter and The Body Shop Body Butter equally skin-saving.

  2. Hello! Thanks for stopping by my site and liking my post 🙂 I just wanted to say that I have the Schwarzkopf Daily Oil Elixir as well and I love it so much! I’m already onto my second bottle and I introduced it to my mom when I first started using it and she loves it to bits as well. She even bought two bottles for herself to use back home! (I’m from Singapore originally, she’s still living there)
Anyway, thanks for the love and I hope you have a lovely day xx

  3. Lovely article! Moisturising is so important in cold weather! I also struggle with dry skin, especially on my lips. What I love using on my lips in very cold weather is Elizabeth Arden Fragrance Free Eight Hour Cream. It works wonders! Brilliant product choices. 🙂
    Enjoy your trip!

      1. I also use a tiny amount on my hands when they get very dry. It’s one of those holy grail products. I can’t live without it. 🙂
