My Everyday Spring Makeup Routine

Makeup as oppose to fashion doesn’t depend so much on the seasons , but I for one do have a few things I like to switch up depending on the season. Don’t get me wrong I don’t completely change my makeup once a new season starts, but a few small changes get me excited all over again about doing my makeup. For spring I still keep a good amount of coverage in my foundation but I like a nice and dewy finish, my eye makeup I keep light with taupe shades and lots of lashes, as for my lips I say goodbye to my signature bold dark lip and go for a more natural pinky nude. This look is basically what I wear on most days , enjoy!

For my face makeup, as I said, I like a very dewy base and even though my foundation, the Too Faced Born This Way,  is by no means a matte foundation it also isn’t hydrating enough for my skin. So in order to get my super dry skin to look dewy I need some serious help and and for that I use the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate and The Body Shop Radiant Highlighter . I like adding one or two drops of the oil into a pump of foundation and if I feel like my skin is looking more dull than usual I also add a bit of the highlighter into my foundation. For my under eye I use my Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Concealer, the reason I like this concealer is because the consistency is hydrating enough but it still last quite well and I never get any creasing either.

Now the next step is bronzing the face, for which I use the Sleek Contour Palette in the light shade, even though I really enjoy the bronzer in this palette the highlight doesn’t quite make the cut, for that I love my Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm.  If you have yet to try this highlighter and like a nice strong highlight than you need to go and get yourself some. To be honest I don’t normally use blush but the spring is probably the only time I use it, and as a non blush fan this Rockateur blush by The Balm is perfect for me, it’s very natural but can be built up.

For my eyes I have basically only been using one palette since spring began, and that is The Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay. The shades in there are the perfect taupey pink shades that I have been into for spring , the one complaint I have is that I would have liked at least one more matte crease shade in there. For my lashes I have been mixing a couple of mascaras to get as much volume as possible but my go to has been this Colossal Volume Express Mascara from Maybelline, nice and volumizing and super black  even with one coat it does wonders for my lashes.

For my go to lip combo I have really been loving the Rimmel lip pencil in Spice and the Clarins Natural Lip Perfector in shade 06 . This  has to be my all time favorite lip combo regardless of the season . I really recommend this lip pencil shade to everyone plus the price is amazing .

  1. Loved the post! I do have a ‘seasonal’ makeup routine too- Spring’s involves lighter foundation/ more bronzed skin/brighter colours and lipgloss over lipstick ☺️ The Naked palette is a must!

      1. Ohh okay! I’ll maybe check it out at the counter at some point! I’m currently waiting for their new Dandelion Dew to be available in stores here in the UK.

  2. I love that naked pallet! It is definitely the best one. Those rimmel pencils are my fave liner too!
