We have reached the end of yet another month and if you’re a blogger that means one thing, It`s time for a new favorites post. I mean how would we survive without sharing the products we have been loving over the past 30 days. All joking aside I do love a good old favorites post both to write and read, I find they are a great way to discover new products as well as other bits and bobs, for example this month I am really excited to share with you my new YouTube discovery as well as my new signature lip product. So if you want to find out more keep on reading.
Sephora Renew and Peel Super Serum
As a fan of all things skin care I do enjoy trying new products , but since my skin has been close to perfection for the past month or two I kind of stuck to the same routine ( why fix what isn`t broken?) . My one last complaint regarding my skin was the texture that I still struggled with. I do exfoliate twice a week but I found that my makeup still sat weirdly especially on my cheeks and forehead . I never tried anything from the Sephora skincare range before but this product really stood out to me. I already knew my skin responded very well to Glycolic Acid (my fav toner is the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner) and it said that it would also improve the size of pores ( which mine aren`t too bad but smaller would be even better) and dark spots ( I still have some scaring mostly on my chin from previous breakouts). The price was amazing for a skincare item (it was also on sale) but it still pleasantly surprised me. The biggest difference I noticed in my skin texture which again was the main reason I got it and even though I didn`t see any change in my pores I did see my dark spots improve quite a bit. Now for the really bad news which I only discovered when researching for this post, I couldn`t find it on the sephora website , so I don`t know if it was discontinued or if it`s an exclusive product to Europe , but nonetheless if you do stumble upon it I would wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try
Now for the product that has been on my lips almost everyday this past month. I have loved using lip pencils for a while now and even though the Rimmel ones have been amazing for the price, once I discovered the Makeup For Ever Aqua Lip line I really can`t go back. The formula is so much more long-lasting, so much so that I don`t really need to reapply throughout the day and the color selection is huge. All the colors are really amazing and I do plan on adding to my collection but this shade was the one that really grabbed my attention. It`s the perfect neutral pinky tape shade, I would describe it as a darker dusty rose, it`s just gorgeous and quite unique so if you see a Make Up For Ever counter give it a swatch.
A summer must have for me is this in shower lotion. I love using this instead of a regular lotion mainly for it`s convenience. To be honest most of the time I would skip using a body cream after my shower because I didn`t like the sticky feeling or I would forget or just be to lazy to do it. With this I use it every morning in the shower, you don`t get the stickiness and it`s also really nice after I shave. As someone who struggles with dry skin I always go for the dry skin formula but they also have a normal skin option as well. The scent is the classic nivea cream scent, which I actually really enjoy, it`s not too strong and it`s quite a neutral clean scent.
My summer fragrance for the past two years has been the Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. I am not very good at describing scent so I will keep my description quite short but you can always go and smell it for yourself. This scent is a very fresh floral , not overpowering great for the daytime.
Tommy Hilfiger Rubber Flip Flops shade Midnight My obsession with this pair of shoes is pretty insane so much so that if you look at my feet right now you shall find a “wonderful” tan line that perfectly matches them. I am sorry but they are just so dang easy and comfortable I wear them everywhere , going to the grocery store, picking up some coffee in the morning , going for a walk in the park in the evening and sometimes in situations I really shouldn`t be wearing flip-flops but hey ho what is a girl to do.
When it comes to TV shows summer is the worst season, especially for new shows. This year the only new show I have been loving is Containment, with both an interesting concept and good cast I really was shocked when I found out it was canceled by the CW. Still if you don`t mind the lack of closure it`s worth a try.
I have been watching YouTube for a while now and I feel like I get bored by a loot of channels lately but I don`t remember the last time I discovered someone new to watch. So when I found Jon`s channel I was thrilled. He is a former pro free skier who now does daily vlogs. He does a loot of traveling and even when he is home in either Spain or Monte Carlo the seaside views are amazing. He also does some crazy stuff like driving his Lamborghini up a ski slope or diving off crazy high cliffs. He is also very interested in all the filming gear so all his vlogs are beautifully shot and edited.
