Hey guys welcome back to another Wednesday Beauty post. I think of myself as a pretty equal opportunity beauty buyer, I love finding little gems at the drugstore as much as I enjoy trying out some more expensive ones. Todays post though will be all about those “high-end” products, the products that have stood the test of time for me and I am confident in recommending regardless of their price tag. Enjoy!
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting PrimerΒ (38$) This product I was undecided if I should or shouldn`t include mostly because I have not tried that many of the other more expensive primers on the market right now. Still it is a product I use religiously and one that comparing to some of the other raved about primers out there (like the Hourglass Veil Primer or the Guerlain Pure Radiance Primer ) has a more realistic price point. This is a smoothing primer so if you struggle with the texture of your skin I could not recommend this primer more, it really makes such a difference in the look of my foundation.
Too Faced Born This Way FoundationΒ (39$) The main makeup product I like to invest in is foundation. I am a huge believer that the base is the most important step in any makeup routine. The reasons I chose this foundation in particular, is firstly I think this will work for most skin types, and secondly as a fan of medium to high coverage this foundation I feel like is both really good coverage but somehow manages to feel light on the skin. I also wanted to add that as someone who has really dry skin I was so frustrated that there wasn`t a good option for a high coverage foundation that could work on dryer skin until this one.
Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer (34$) If you need a heavy-duty concealer both in staying power as well as coverage than you definitely need this in your life. Honestly I never want to be without this gem of a product. For every bump or huge hormonal zit this is my go to, it honestly works miracles .
Chanel Les Beiges Powder (58$) Now for probably the most princessy product in this post , the Chanel Les Beiges Powders aren`t something you need in your makeup routine necessarily but if you do want to treat yourself to a product that will make you feel like a million bucks every time you take it out of your bag to touch up that this is for you. It is also a really great product, extremely finely milled with a finish that will take away shine while still leaving a perfectly glowy and healthy look to your skin.
Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto (36$) A pretty new product both in the market as well as for me , but one I fell in love with. Again I will admit this isn`t a product you necessarily need in your routine but if you want a treat as well as a beautiful and easy product to use look into this one. I also did a full review on it which I will link here if you want to know more.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Liners (19$) I started using liners for my entire lip about a year ago , and the reason I like using them is because I want as much lasting power and I find liquid lipsticks too drying on my lips. The longest lasting of all the liners I tried are these Aqua Lip`s from MUFE , I also think they have a stunning color selection Β and the price isn`t too crazy (about the same as MAC).
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (23$) As far as mascaras go I am a huge fan of the drugstore ( Maybelline have some of the best ones in my opinion ) . Still I do love me some big lashes so if I feel like treating myself, my favorite is this one by Too Faced. It gives me pretty much the same effect as falsies do ( I am blessed with some amazing lashes to start with) and I also love that it doesn`t smudge on me which most mascars do.
Well I hope you found this post interesting and I would love to know what some of your favorite high-end makeup products are, I mean Christmas is coming up and I do need to start thinking about my wish list, so help me out!!!
Too Faced’s mascara is literally my holy grail, the first time I tried it out I just stared at myself in the mirror for 10 minutes straight! xx
I want to try the makeup forever concealer so bad, it looks amazing!
I really like how you did your pictures this post. So Holiday appropriate! I also love that MUFE lip liner. Holy Grail product for sure.
Love this! Makes me want to shop right now π
This is super cute! (Is it okay to call a post cute?) I absolutely love the photos! & I’ve been thinking of grabbing myself a Too Faced Foundation and this just sold it for me, xx :*
I need to start trying out more lip liners since my lipstick LOVES to jump onto my teeth!
Yeah lip liners never give me that problem.
I love Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Chanel Inimitable Mascara. Foundation and lashes are most important to me!
Great post! I’ve been in love with the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ever since I got it and I made a post about it as well – such a good foundation! Need to try out the rest of the products you mentioned as well! x
