If you have visited my blog in the past few months you have heard me go on and on about the new house we just built. It was a huge project and I did a couple posts about it. Firstly I did a similar inspiration post for my bathroom and recently I did a tour of the finished product. If you are interested in those I will link them here and here. Today I will be walking you through my design ideas for my new bedroom. I am going for a mid-century modern look with some lux and feminine touches, sounds confusing? let`s walk through it so I can better explain my vision. Continue reading
Theres an exciting new project I have yet to talk about on the blog, WE HAVE BUILT A NEW HOUSE!!!!! By we I mean my family to be more exact. And after all the boring bits like building the actual house we have finally gotten to the exciting part of decorating. I want to start sharing with you the whole process, and this first post is all about my bathroom design. I would love to hear your thoughts, and if you have any ideas or think something isn`t looking quite right pleas leave me a comment and let me know, I really want as much input as possible. Well hopefully this is the first post of many I will be doing on the new house. In a couple of weeks I will be sharing a progress post which will include some photos as well, and maybe in a month or so I will do a final reveal post. I will also be doing a couple of posts on my bedroom design, as well as one on my connecting terrace, but if you enjoy them and want more on the rest of the house let me know and I will definitely do them.
The beginning of a new season is always a exiting time, so I decided to compile a list of things TO DO in order to get ready for spring. I hope you enjoy and Happy Spring!
1. Spring Clean your wardrobe
Starting off with the obvious , get out your warm season wardrobe and go through it. It might not be warm enough to make the switch yet , but for sure you are already starting to buy some new spring clothes so look through what you already have. Be ruthless , it’s the perfect time to get rid of some stuff you know you aren`t going to wear anymore. See where your wardrobe is lacking and make a wish list of what you want to add to it. I really enjoy home design and I am definitely one of those annoying people who change-up their room for every season. I don`t go full on redesigning my room , but I do enjoy changing up the accent pieces. My room is mostly white with accents of natural wood so it really lends itself to redesigns according to seasons, for example for winter I bring in metallics, greys , and knit textures but for spring I feel the need for color and a bit more life so I add mostly pastels colors like soft pinks and blues as well as flower patterns. Etsy is a great place for getting little accents for your home and I decided to pick 5 of the things that have been on my spring wishlist and share them with you. Hope it inspires you to give your own space a new life this spring.
Today I have a new home decor /DIY post for you and this time is all about knitting. Maybe not the coolest hobby in the world , still when you can get adorable winter accessories (scarfs, hats ) or home decor (throw pillows or blankets) from it why not give it a try Continue reading
